The National Quran Competitions aim to promote Quranic recitation, memorization, and understanding among youth and communities in Uganda. This flagship spiritual initiative, inspired by Islamic values of knowledge and devotion, fosters a deeper connection with the Quran and serves as a platform for spiritual excellence. The first edition, held in 2025 at Kampala Serena Hotel, marked a significant milestone in our efforts to strengthen spiritual literacy.
Objectives:
• Organize Uganda’s largest Quran competition to encourage excellence in Quranic studies and inspire youth engagement with Islamic texts.
Activities:
• Host annual nationwide events with qualified judges evaluating participants on recitation, memorization (Hifz), and understanding.
• Award top performers with prizes, including a car and Umrah trips (e.g., 2025 winner received these rewards).
• Engage local mosques and schools to broaden participation across regions.
